Your goals, ideas and perspective can help shape our future – we look forward to hearing them!    As a Project Manager at BlueScope Conventional Services, you will serve as the primary point of contact throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring that all aspects meet or exceed Builder expectations. You will be responsible for clear and timely communication, proactive risk management, and the successful execution of project milestones and deliverables. Disclaimer : The role is responsible to project manage the metal building steel structure from order entry to delivery and installation completion.  The project manager is responsible for the steel structure schedule, managing the scope of work, overall margin, and is the builder’s point of contact for the metal building steel structure. This is a hybrid office position, not a field position.  This is not an IT project manager role while some of the project management techniques can apply. Day to day tasks would include the following: Contribute to providing services and products with Zero Defects Ongoing Problem solve field issues and resolve claims Facilitate communications with builders during the engineering stage of projects Perform business audit to ensure accuracy of order entry and fully understand scope of work Manage and maintain backlog order management data Facilitate kick-off and hand-off meetings Establish and monitor milestone dates and communicate schedule to builders Manage change orders Manage supplier items Tools Required Pricing Software -- Internal Price Detail Report, Unit Summary Report, Internal Margin Report, Pricing Report, Notes Summary Report, Door Order Form, Workable Order Checklist Compass system -- Backlog, Order Summary with Tons, SRs Summary Report, Buyout Holds Report, Ship vs Standard Report, Project Margin Analysis Report, Orders with Open Lines, Sales Order Truck Manifest, Parts Order Acknowledgement, Actual vs. Quoted Engineering Hours, Change Order Acknowledgement, Final Pricing Acknowledgement, Project Financial Review Business Intelligence -- Key Dates Report, Engineering Overview (Project Hours Detail) Minimum: 2 year Associate or Technical degree OR 2 additional years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree 4 years of relevant work experience Preferred: Bachelor degree in a related field 4+ years of relevant work experience 2+ years of pre-engineered metal building (PEMB) experience Skills & Competencies Competent in Order Management System applications Thorough product, document and process knowledge Good verbal and written communication skills Good time management skills Good negotiating skills Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with builders Organizational agility Ability to influence others Active listener Action oriented Proactive approach to managing projects and takes ownership of his/her projects Sound risk management practices Competence with Microsoft Office products Able to read and interpret Architectural/Structural drawings and specifications Able to effectively manage projects to provide projections for shipped tons, dollars and margin Able to effectively manage key milestones Able to effectively manage Change Orders and margin enhancement Competent in problem solving Competent in conflict resolution Additional Information The preceding job responsibilities and tasks were designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by associates in this job.  It is not designed to contain or be interpreted as a comprehensive inventory of all job duties and responsibilities required of associates assigned to this job.  Associates may be required to perform other duties as assigned.  Additional job competencies, individual goals, and performance measurements are set at the department level.
