State specific pay scales for this role are as follows:
$76,829 to $142,213 (CA, NJ, NY, WA, HI, AK, MD, CT, RI, MA)
$69,845 to $129,284 (NV, OR, AZ, CO, WY, TX, ND, MN, MO, IL, WI, FL, GA, MI, OH, VA, PA, DE, VT, NH, ME)
$62,860 to $116,356 (UT, ID, MT, NM, SD, NE, KS, OK, IA, AR, LA, MS, AL, TN, KY, IN, SC, NC, WV)
In CA: Typical hiring range is $98,569 to $120,473
The expected base salary for this position will vary depending on a number of factors, including relevant experience, skills and location.
Responsibilities Essential Job Functions:-Responsible for the preparation, analysis and evaluation of subsidiary general ledgers.-Prepares and maintains highly complex operating and financial reports.-Ensures the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements are completed in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and statutory accounting principles (SAP) including footnote disclosure.-Performs advanced financial analyses and special projects as required by financial management. -May interface and maintain relationships with outside auditors and public accounting firms.
Qualifications Education:• Bachelor’s degree with emphasis/major in accounting program or equivalent education• CPA or MBA is preferredExperience:• At least 5 years of experience in accounting, including 2 years of public accounting, preferably in a Big Four firm. • Insurance accounting experience is a plus• Or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
