Position Purpose:
The Cybersecurity M&A Integration Lead is responsible for guiding the cybersecurity integration strategy for mergers, acquisitions, and related business transactions. This role ensures acquired companies are assessed, prioritized, and integrated into the enterprise security program in a consistent, risk-based, and business-aligned manner. By partnering closely with technology, security, legal, compliance, infrastructure, application, and business leaders, the Cybersecurity M&A Integration Lead drives the transition from due diligence through post-close remediation, helping reduce cyber risk, protect critical assets, and enable acquired businesses to operate securely within the company’s standards and long-term technology roadmap.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead cybersecurity integration planning and execution for mergers, acquisitions, and related business transactions, ensuring acquired environments are assessed and integrated in alignment with enterprise security standards.
Partner with M&A, IT, infrastructure, applications, legal, compliance, privacy, and business stakeholders to identify cybersecurity risks, define integration priorities, and drive timely resolution of security gaps.
Coordinate cybersecurity due diligence inputs and translate findings into actionable post-close integration plans, remediation roadmaps, timelines, ownership assignments, and risk-based priorities.
Drive the integration of acquired companies into core cybersecurity capabilities, including identity and access management, endpoint protection, vulnerability management, network security, logging and monitoring, incident response, security awareness, and third-party risk processes.
Establish repeatable cybersecurity integration playbooks, standards, checklists, and reporting mechanisms to improve consistency, scalability, and execution quality across multiple acquisitions.
Track and report integration progress, key risks, dependencies, remediation status, and executive-level decision points to technology, cybersecurity, and business leadership.
Collaborate with enterprise architecture, infrastructure, application, and operations teams to ensure security requirements are incorporated into integration designs, migration plans, and long-term technology roadmaps.
Support budget, resource, and vendor planning for cybersecurity integration activities, ensuring remediation and integration efforts are appropriately scoped, prioritized, and aligned with business objectives.
Promote a risk-aware and collaborative culture across acquired businesses by communicating security expectations, enabling adoption of enterprise controls, and supporting change management throughout the integration lifecycle.
Direct Manager Direct Reports:
The Technology Sr. Director reports directly to the Vice President of Technology
The role includes managerial responsibilities, entailing oversight and development of direct reports. The Technology Sr. Director is tasked with providing leadership, mentorship, and professional growth opportunities to their direct reports. This encompasses managing and coordinating strategic direction, conducting performance evaluations, and supporting talent management through succession planning and staff development initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications:
Educational Background
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is preferred.
Work Experience
Minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience in a similar role within a fast-paced, multi-division, national company.
Proven track record of leadership at a Director level or above, with the ability to guide strategic direction and execute plans across a portfolio of products.
Demonstrated experience in managing and developing direct reports with their own operational spans of control.
