We partner with leading enterprises across healthcare, telecommunications, financial services, and retail to build scalable, high-impact data ecosystems that drive smarter business decisions.  We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to support a large-scale healthcare data platform initiative focused on modernizing data ingestion, pipeline automation, and semantic layer capabilities within Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role will play a key part in designing and delivering scalable, reliable, and business-ready data solutions that support enterprise analytics, operational reporting, and data-driven decision-making.  The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on engineering expertise, deep experience with cloud-native data platforms, and a passion for building modern, scalable data architectures in complex enterprise healthcare environments.  What You’ll Do  Design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines supporting enterprise healthcare analytics and reporting initiatives   Build and automate ingestion frameworks for structured and semi-structured healthcare data sources   Develop and expand semantic data layers in GCP and BigQuery to support trusted, consistent analytics consumption across business teams   Design and implement scalable ELT/ETL workflows using modern cloud-native architecture patterns   Automate orchestration, monitoring, and operational processes across the data platform   Partner with architects, analytics teams, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions   Optimize BigQuery performance, partitioning, and query efficiency to improve scalability and cost management   Implement engineering best practices for testing, observability, reliability, deployment automation, and operational support   Contribute to data governance, metadata management, and data quality initiatives across the platform   Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a collaborative, high-performing engineering culture   Strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including:   BigQuery Cloud Storage Cloud Composer or orchestration tooling   Dataflow or modern ingestion frameworks   Experience designing and building scalable data ingestion and pipeline automation solutions   Strong understanding of semantic layer development and dimensional modeling concepts   Advanced SQL and Python development skills   Experience with ELT/ETL pipeline design, orchestration, and optimization   Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and cloud engineering best practices   Strong understanding of data quality, observability, and operational reliability principles   Preferred Experience  Experience working within healthcare data ecosystems and regulated enterprise environments   Familiarity with healthcare analytics platforms, payer/provider data models, or healthcare interoperability standards   Experience supporting enterprise BI and analytics initiatives   Exposure to dbt, Looker, or semantic modeling frameworks is a plus   Required Experience  5+ years of experience in data engineering or cloud data platform development   Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale cloud data solutions within GCP environments   Experience contributing to large-scale data modernization or analytics transformation initiatives   Consulting or client-facing delivery experience strongly preferred   What Makes You Successful  You are passionate about building scalable, maintainable, and high-performing cloud-native data solutions   You thrive in collaborative, fast-paced delivery environments   You balance strong technical execution with effective communication and stakeholder collaboration   You bring a mindset of ownership, curiosity, and continuous improvement to your work   You enjoy solving complex data challenges and driving measurable business impact through technology  #LI-AJ1 The starting pay range for this role is $115k - $125k. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent on several factors including but not limited to relevant experience, skills, certifications, training, and location. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range and determining factors for compensation are considered for each individual circumstance.
