Welcome to Product Management at DICK'S Sporting Goods, where we specialize in delivering retail excellence along every aspect of the Athlete journey. As a Product Manager II supporting Digital Fraud, you will help safeguard A thletes and orders by proactively detecting, preventing, and responding to fraudulent activity across digital channels while enabling seamless and trusted shopping experiences. You will partner closely with Business Partners, Engineering and Architecture across Digital Loss Prevention, Payments, eCommerce, Mobile App, Stores, Treasury, Sales Audit, Cyber Security, and Loyalty . This role will manage the product ecosystem, inclusive of thi r d-party vendors , to balance fraud prevention, conversion, customer experience, operational efficiency, and platform resiliency.
This role is accountable for shaping and delivering Digital Fraud capabilities across the order lifecycle, from account and device signals through pre-authorization risk checks, post-order fraud review, fulfillment, reship/refund monitoring, chargeback management, and continuous rule and signal optimization.
What You Will Own in Digital Fraud
Define and maintain a Digital Fraud product roadmap that aligns to business outcomes, portfolio priorities, fraud-risk reduction, conversion protection, and trusted A thlete experiences.
Lead discovery and solutioning for fraud capabilities such as pre-authorization fraud checks, post-order decisioning, device fingerprinting, reject/recycle, chargeback automation, fraud data foundations, and fraud lifecycle improvements.
Translate business needs from Digital Loss Prevention, Payments, eCommerce, Mobile App , Treasury, Sales Audit, Store Ops, Loyalty, and other partners into clear product outcomes, user stories, acceptance criteria, and delivery plans.
Own KPI definition and measurement for the product domain, including fraud loss, cancel and chargeback trends, accept/reject/manual-review performance, demand-to-fulfillment impact, SLA/SLO considerations, false positives, operational friction, and customer experience impacts.
Partner with other Product Managers, Engineering, Architecture, Data Product, Analytics, and Reliability partners to improve observability, monitoring, automated testing, system resiliency, and data-driven decisioning.
Collaborate with vendors and internal platform teams to evaluate, pilot, implement, and continuously optimize fraud and risk capabilities while managing dependencies, contracts, and delivery risks.
D esign and evaluate controlled experiments, A/B tests, and phased rollouts to measure fraud performance, conversion impacts, and operational outcomes.
Improve upstream engagement so Digital Fraud is included early in planning for new experiences, payment methods, loyalty programs, fulfillment changes, and AI/agentic commerce opportunities.
Evaluate and support machine learning, behavioral analytics, and AI-driven fraud detection capabilities while balancing explainability, governance, and customer experience.
Monitor fraud, retail, digital commerce, and payment trends to proactively identify emerging risk patterns and shape product strategy before issues become reactive operational escalations.
Monitor emerging fraud vectors including account takeover, promotion abuse, synthetic identities, bot attacks, and credential stuffing .
Participate in fraud-related incident response, major issue management, and post-incident reviews. Help drive corrective actions following production incidents, fraud spikes, chargeback events, or vendor service disruptions.
