SCOPE OF INTERNSHIP:   The intern will work closely with the Workforce and Integration Department, gaining hands-on experience in employment services and data entry, and supporting employment specialists   with   a   variety   of   administrative   and   operational   tasks.   The   internship   will   provide   exposure   to workforce management systems. The intern will have the opportunity to contribute to   the day -to-day operations, helping with data management and ensuring smooth communication between teams. This role will foster growth in administrative skills, data organization, and understanding of employment   processes.   RESPONSIBILITIES:   Work   individually   with   clients to   create,   update,   and   review   resumes,   job   searching,   networking opportunities, and interview preparation.   Support   the   Workforce   team   with   a   variety   of   projects   and   administrative   tasks,   including   data   entry,   filing,   and   database   quality   assurance.   Reach   out   to   potential   employers   to   discuss   job   opportunities   for   clients.   Assist   in   maintaining   communication   with   employers   about   job   openings.   Help   prepare   paperwork   and   documents   needed   for   job   applications,   client   profiles,   and employer communication.   LEARNING   OBJECTIVES:   Learn   how   to   enter   and   manage   client   and   job   data   accurately.   Gain   skills   in   creating   professional   resumes   and   applying   for   jobs   on   behalf   of   clients.   Develop   communication   skills   by   reaching   out   to   employers   and   maintaining   relationships.   Learn   how   to   organize   and   maintain   important   documents   and   client   records.   Get   hands-on   experience   with   the   recruitment   process,   from   job applications  t o   employer   outreach.   REQUIREMENTS:   Multilingual   or   bilingual   in   one   or   more   of   the   following   languages   is   preferred:   Spanish,   French, Dari, Pashto, or Haitian Creole.   Strong   attention   to   detail   and   accuracy   in   data   entry   and   document   management.   Basic   proficiency   in   Microsoft   Office   Suite   (Word,   Excel,   Outlook).   Excellent   written   and   verbal   communication   skills.   Ability   to   organize   tasks   and   manage   time   effectively.   Comfortable   working   independently   and   as   part   of   a   team.   Compensation :   This   is   an   unpaid   internship   opportunity.   Working   Environment:   This   position   is   in   person   at   our   El   Cajon   office.   Must   be   able   to   complete   work   during   business   hours,   Monday-Friday   8:30   am-4:30   pm.   No   shifts will be scheduled outside of these business hours.   PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS All International Rescue Committee workers must adhere to the core values and principles outlined in IRC Way - Standards for Professional Conduct .
