SCOPE OF INTERNSHIP:   Intern will provide support for Immigration Legal Staff with current and new client cases.     RESPONSIBILITIES:   Enter data into Case Management Software ( LollyLaw ) and other tracking systems   Work directly with Immigration Staff to   assist   with case follow-ups   Conduct a dministrative projects to support casework   LEARNING OBJECTIVES:   Intern will gain a deeper understanding of current U.S.   i mmigration systems   Intern will receive training and   acquire   knowledge of U.S.   i mmigration   applications,   as well as eligibility requirements for various applications , filing procedures, etc.   Intern will develop research skills and ability to concisely summarize findings for workplace use   REQUIREMENTS:    Current   enrolment   in   ABA   accredited Law School ,   Graduate Progra m, Undergraduate Program or have received their   bachelor’s   degree within the last year.   Attention to detail     Ability to take direction (written and oral) and to complete tasks independently     Must be punctual and dependable (regular attendance   required )   Prior customer service experience and/or the ability to work well with others of varied backgrounds     Proficiency   in Arabic, Burmese, Dari, Farsi,   Karen,   Pashto,   Russian ,   Somali, Swahili,   Ukrainian,   or   Vietnamese   preferred   Compensation :   This is an   unpaid   internship opportunity.   Working Environment:       This position is in-person   at our City Heights office only   Intern schedule subject to our business   hours Monday-Friday 8:30am- 4: 3 0pm.    PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS All International Rescue Committee workers must adhere to the core values and principles outlined in IRC Way - Standards for Professional Conduct .
