Job Description
Ares Management Corporation is seeking an experienced Associate Vice President to join the Ares Core Infrastructure Fund (ACI) team focused on financial reporting.
This role will support SEC reporting for ACI, including requirements related to its private business development company (BDC) structure, while partnering closely with fund finance & accounting, legal, operations, investment professionals and the broader finance and accounting organization.
The role requires a hands-on, adaptable and detail-oriented professional who can help drive a high-quality reporting process, support fund-level deliverables and operate effectively in a fast-paced, growing environment.
Primary functions & responsibilities The Associate Vice President will be primarily responsible for the following tasks:
Oversee preparation and review of ACI’s quarterly, annual and ad-hoc SEC filings, including Forms 10-Q, 10-K and 8-K
Prepare fund reporting deliverables, disclosure committee materials and board materials
Prepare U.S. GAAP and SEC disclosure checklists and help evaluate compliance with applicable disclosure requirements
Coordinate with fund finance & accounting, legal, operations and investment teams to gather and validate information used in SEC and other reporting deliverables
Prepare U.S. GAAP, SEC and investment company/BDC disclosures, including supporting schedules and analyses for investments, financing activities and other complex transactions
Partner with internal stakeholders and external auditors on quarterly reviews, annual audits and other reporting matters
Review workpapers, tie-outs and documentation for completeness, accuracy and consistency, and support enhancements to reporting processes and controls
Support evaluation and implementation of new reporting requirements, accounting developments and disclosure matters relevant to ACI and its investment structures
Collaborate across teams to resolve reporting issues, communicate timelines and provide practical reporting guidance
Contribute to process improvement initiatives through technology, automation and other efficiency opportunities
Qualifications Education and Certification Required:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting
CPA preferred
Desired Experience:
7+ years of relevant experience in public accounting and/or industry
Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements, with experience preparing or reviewing financial statements and related disclosures
Experience collaborating with external auditors and cross-functional stakeholders to support accurate and timely deliverables
Accounting or reporting experience in asset management, infrastructure, private equity, alternative investments or financial services
Experience with BDCs, investment companies or other regulated fund structures, including related reporting and disclosure requirements, preferred
Experience with Workiva, XBRL, AI-enabled tools or other reporting workflow solutions is a plus

The anticipated base salary range for this position is listed below. Total compensation may also include a discretionary performance-based bonus. Note, the range takes into account a broad spectrum of qualifications, including, but not limited to, years of relevant work experience, education, and other relevant qualifications specific to the role.
$150,000 - $180,000
