Job Title: Aerospace Engineer Job Category: Engineering Time Type: Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: TS/SCI Employee Type: Regular Percentage of Travel Required: Up to 10% Type of Travel: Local * * * The Opportunity: CACI is currently seeking an Aerospace Engineer in support of a program whose initiative is aimed at combating evolving and emerging threats, supporting related exploitation and replication activities, and advancing operational rehearsal, exercise, wargaming, and counter system development. Additionally, we are focusing on integration and experimentation, including Modeling and Simulation. By joining this team, you will have a unique opportunity to contribute to the U.S. and our allies’ ability to develop and apply models and simulations throughout the lifecycle of military and commercial technologies and systems. Your work will help ensure Warfighter readiness and the realization of future capabilities. Responsibilities: This position supports engineering and technical services for system-of-systems (SoS) systems engineering, Live Virtual Constructive (LVC), Modeling & Simulation (M&S), and multi-domain operations in support of critical defense programs. Provide aerospace or industrial engineering support during all phases of the life cycle for assigned aviation, ground, missile, space, sea, and soldier weapon systems, programs, and projects. Perform engineering duties in designing, constructing, and testing aircraft, missiles, spacecraft, and related systems   Support basic and applied research to evaluate adaptability of materials and equipment to aircraft design and manufacture   Design, develop, test, and evaluate integrated systems for managing industrial production processes   Support systems engineering activities including requirements definition and analysis, architecture development, design synthesis, and integration   Assist in the development and implementation of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and products   Support verification, validation, and accreditation (VV&A) of solutions developed or leveraged by DEVCOM and DoD customers   Participate in engineering-related technical reviews, exercise support, field tests, and budget reviews   Assist with trade studies and technical analysis to support system development   Support Live, Virtual, Constructive (LVC) modeling and simulation activities   C ontribute to the development of technical documentation and engineering products using MBSE methods and tools   Support multi-domain operations and integration/experimentation activities   Qualifications: Required:  Bachelor's degree or higher in a technical field including: Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, Aeronautical or Astronautical Engineering, Industrial, Environmental, Architectural, or Civil Engineering, Chemistry, Mathematics, Operations Research, Physics, Architecture, Meteorology/Atmospheric Sciences   Or (3) years experience in lieu of degree Active TS/SCI Desired: Experience with DoD systems engineering processes and standards (IEEE 15288, 15288.1, 15288.2) Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and methodologies   Knowledge of Systems Modeling Language (SysML) or Unified Profile for DoDAF and MODAF (UPDM)   E xperience with aviation, ground, missile, space, or weapon systems   Understanding of LVC simulation environments   Experience with DoD acquisition lifecycle processes   Familiarity with Army or DoD facilities and operations   Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work effectively in a team environment - What You Can Expect:  A culture of integrity. Pay Range : There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
