Description of Work
The Administrative Associate II is located at Avery Mitchell Correctional in Spruce Pine, NC and works within Health Services/Behavioral Health Section of the Department of Adult Corrections.
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: processing all incoming and outgoing mail. receiving incoming shipments of supplies, materials and/or equipment for the Mental Health department, ensuring the efficient and timely processing of offender and staff mail while in compliance with established DAC policies and procedures, coordinating research for mental health offender grievances performing a variety of office and/or technical tasks in order to accomplish the specialized processing of information, documents and/or materials, scheduling mental health appointments, preparing and maintaining logs/reports, coordinating tracking systems for mental health offenders and meeting daily and monthly deadlines, planning, understanding and reviewing all completed tasks to ensure accuracy, communicating both orally and in writing with offenders, offender families, staff, management, government officials and the general public.

Salary Range: $ 31,200 - $51,249 Pay Grade NC02

Documented experience performing administrative functions in an office setting.
Documented experience working in a medical office/mental health facility.
Demonstrated knowledge in performance of office support tasks.
