General Notes
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Must attend and work all home Football games, 75% of assigned sport home games, 25% of other events as assigned. This job is not suitable for remote work and is expected to work regular on-site hours.
Purpose
Under the direction of the Ticket Sales and Operations Team, this position is responsible for driving revenue, increasing event attendance, and delivering exceptional customer service through the sale and administration of season tickets, partial plans, group packages, single-game tickets, parking, and Longhorn Foundation contributions. The role also supports ticketing operations at Texas Athletics events, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for all fans and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Manage a personal portfolio of up to 1,000 football season ticket accounts, handling all aspects of inbound and outbound sales, renewals, and service. Collaborate with the Longhorn Foundation to support donor relations, stewardship, and fulfillment of annual fund gift requirements tied to ticket and parking benefits. Coordinate ticketing needs for away games, neutral-site matchups, and postseason events, ensuring accuracy and donor satisfaction. Deliver exceptional customer service across all ticketed sports, with a focus on football, men’s and women’s basketball, and baseball season ticket retention. Meet and exceed retention goals through proactive outreach via phone, in-person meetings, social media, text, chat, and networking events. Support home events by performing ticket sales, fundraising, and customer service duties on-site. Manage payment plans and provide service for monthly and postseason payment schedules; handle collections and resolve account issues across all sports.
Drive new business growth by re-engaging past customers and cold-calling new leads across individual and corporate segments. Engage prospects through multiple channels—phone, in-person meetings, social media, and networking events—to generate ticket sales and build lasting relationships. Support home events by executing ticket sales, fundraising, and customer service duties on-site. Consistently meet and exceed sales targets, including weekly, monthly, and annual goals, by proactively identifying and creating new business opportunities. Develop and manage group sales strategies, tracking performance and adjusting tactics to maximize revenue and attendance.
Lead the recruitment, hiring, training, and day-to-day management of a team of Ticket Sales interns focused on inbound and outbound sales initiatives. Coach and mentor interns to enhance their performance in service, retention, and sales, using regular evaluations and performance metrics to drive growth. Foster a collaborative learning environment by sharing best practices and providing hands-on, desk-side training in ticket operations and sales. Enrich the intern experience through structured mentorship, professional development opportunities, and a focus on building future industry leaders.
Collaborate with the operations team and sport ticketing administrators to provide ticketing input during sport-specific meetings and planning sessions. Contribute to the development and execution of ticket sales strategies, including pricing, marketing, seating, distribution, and creative problem-solving for assigned sports. Support the implementation of approved ticketing plans through accurate system setup and timely on-sale execution. Assist in managing box office operations for both athletic and miscellaneous university events, including pre-event setup and in-event coordination. Oversee game day ticketing operations, supervising ticket sellers and ensuring smooth box office functionality. Handle post-event responsibilities, including ticket sales reconciliation, deposit preparation, and inventory management of point-of-sale stock.
Provide responsive and knowledgeable inbound customer service, maintaining up-to-date awareness of ticket inventory and all available offers, including mini plans, single-game tickets, group packages, promotions, and student ticketing. Clearly communicate ticketing policies and options to ensure customer satisfaction and resolve inquiries effectively. Accurately enter customer data into ticketing systems following established protocols and conventions. Escalate complex issues or specialized requests to supervisors or appropriate stakeholders as needed.
